In india first of all it matters that in which stream u did ur+2.
If its non medical then u have to apply for the course by filling a form which comes out in the month of october or november.
You can get that form a near post office.
After that u have to appear for an entrance exam.

I'm not sure what the two plus is, but in the UK you can get a job as a merchant navy officer with five GCSE's at grade a - c, you have to apply to shipping companies who will want to interview you and inturn offer you a three year cadetship, upon the completion of which you will be a merchant navy officer. You can choose between either deck or engineering, I choose to be a deck officer myself.

Directly you cannot join the merchant navy. But you can join merchant navy By doing the respective courses ( I think its nearly for three years) you can join the merchant navy. Contact any marine engg... technicians for good guidances..... These formalities are only in India... And not in abroad....

what line Deck side / Engine side.
Deck side then good go ahead. But Merchant navy job is a dog's life. You have to shed out enough sweat before You see money
Engine side better go for an Engineering degree in Mechanical/ Marine then that is good.
Jobs are pleanty in Shipping

Unless you're third generation union, you'll probably need to go with a temp, or augment company like Dyn Marine, or move to an area with a shortage of help, like the Gulf of Mexico. That will get you in the door.
Joining the military navy for a few years wouldn't hurt either.
