A smile makes any face more open and attractive.
You can:
keep your hair clean and off your face
make sure your teeth are well taken care of
if you are a female, shape your eyebrows (don't over pluck!)
if you are a male, keep your facial hair groomed properly
If you wear makeup learn how to use it to highlight your best features and not look like a circus escapee
if you wear glasses pick a flattering frame
look at people when you speak to them
hold your head high instead of like an ostrich

Get rid of negative things in your life.
Always be happy.
Smile. Be sincere...
Get enough sleep everyday.
Moisturize your face. Protect your face from the sun too.
Wear make up if necessary but not too much. But natural beauty is still the way to go =)

Complete you make your make up with a little shimmer on your forehead, cheek bone and chin. It made you looks better in photo too!
