I am going to get fired, but they have not told me yet. Therefore if i tell them that i quit than it goes on my resume as a quit correct?

it depends if you want to use them as a reference. if you do I would make every effort to sort out the problem and leave on good terms.

if you don't want to use them as a reference then you will have to think of a good reason why you are not using them as a reference. but the advantage is that whoever is looking at your resume has to accept your word for why you left.

I'd let them fire you. Then you can collect unemployment easier than if you quit. When a job calls for a reference, legally the only thing the old company can say is whether they would rehire you or not and verify the employment time. You can always just put on your resume that you left to pursue other options. Which is true whether they fire you or not.

I'd ask for a lay off so you can get unemployment. That's what they did to my kid - laid him off -permanently.
