Firstly, kobrajesus, we have plenty of soup. There's Heinz, Campbell's, Tesco's own, errr.... some other soup. Then the choice of flavours, magnificent. There's tomato, cream of tomato, vegetable, potato and leek, some with meat or something... loads. Don't think you have all the soup over there mate, you may have all the oil, but we've got some of the soup. Am I right Brits??? Woooo!!! Yeah!!!!! Woooo!!! Alright!!!! Yeah!!!! God bless Britain!!!!

In the US, God is a business and an excuse. They whore Him/Her/It out like no body's business, cash in then use all the proceeds to start wars which they blame on Him/Her/It for their enemies views but use Him/Her/It to defend their own.
Plus, God and religion is so far twisted from the truth and is then used as a way of scaring people into acting a certain way that is supposed to be the correct way. For a start, Jesus weren't white. I didn't know the guy personally or anything but coming from Israel, I'm guessing he didn't have a milky complexion or ginger hair.
As for sex, I guess us Brits have different priorities ;-)

The USA is a very religious country. This is because many of the settlers went there to escape religious persecution in europe.
Also Americans feel the need to butt in. Something to do with thinking they are better than everyone else I think.
British people are obsessed with sex because it is or at least was a taboo for many years and now we are going to the opposite extreme.

i think people get up in arms about religion because one of the founding principles this country was based on is feedom of religion. and those principles are being questioned and rights are being violated everyday. i think people get more upset when injustices and and hate crimes and terrorism and all other types of travesties occur and are all claimed to be done in the name of "god" (or whatever god the person choses to worship). i think that's why people in this country get all riled up... they feel their rights are being violated as soon as you mention anything to do with religion!
