Stayed in Slovakia 14 years ago with a nice family, the 2 brothers are now living and in business in the UK. Back then it was part of Czechoslovakia. A slovak was working for me during this time and while in uk the country split into two. I would like to go back again some day.

Sure, I've heard that skiing in Slovakia is great!
I've been to Bratislava few years ago and it was OK. I was there for just two days but I felt almost like home since I live in a town on the Danube too, so wherever I go, when I see the Danube I feel closer to home ;)

Of course I know about your country! Your country used to be Czechoslovakia, and now we have 2 countries Czech and Slovakia!
I could say that we live in the 'neighborhood'! Between yours and mine country we have only one country, Hungary!
And, yes, I would like to visit your country, and I probably will!

I visited it four years ago, spent 5 days in Bratislava and I found it very friendly. "Old town" is very nice (especially those cute statues-the guy smiling from the whole and the photographer next to "Paparazzo" cafe, if I'm not mistaken.) I felt like at home (probably because I have Slovakian ancestors), but I was too shy to speak my bad Slovak so I used English all the time :)

I'd love to! I've been to the Czech Republic, but I think Slovakia must be beautiful as well. So what is it like?

I'd love to visit the Tatra mountains, go skiing and trek in the forests. And I've drunk beer from Bratislava so I know that's wonderful already.
