=make her a card on your computer and write a lovely poem for her. With your two dollars you could get her a couple of scratch tickets or look for something special in a Salvation Army store or something similiar. You could even bake her a cake and forget the gift. Something special like a card, handmade by you and a cake goes a long way with Mom's.

Why don't you clean the house for her? Cook dinner, clean up afterwards, take a walk and spend quality time. You guys can play dress up, fix your hair differently and spend the day doing girl things. Quality time is the best present in the world. Makes GREAT memories.

as a mum - I would love for my kids to do what one of your other answers was ; cook me meal; clean the house; spend time with me.
in fact my birthday is only a few weeks away & i doubt that I will even see any of my kids as 3 of them live in other towns & the 1 here probably wont even remember to call me till late in the day
