If you got to a department store and visit one of the makeup counters there ie. clinique or mac etc, they will do your makeup for you and help pick a foundation that is best for your skin type for free! You may pay a little more for the foundation, but at least it will look good and is better quality. I think using a darker shade would draw attention to the redness, try using a green concealer on red areas, followed by foundation, make sure you blend it into your skin well though.

I'm using ZA personally and it works really well for me and many of my friends. ZA comes in many shades which suit different skin tones. Apart from that, ZA offers Vitamin C and other essential minerals in its foundation powder that makes it an advantage. ZA has also been voted No. 1 Best foundation powder in 1 of the magazine polls. Clinique is also not bad. So far, Anna Sui is the worst among so many of the foundation powders that most of my friends and I've used. Not only that, Anna Sui is very expensive and it's not useful. As for the redness, I read before in 1 of the magazines that using a medium shade can help to conceal or cover the flaws. Do give it a try when you shop in the stores before buying the right one for yourself.

u can use pure make-up by maybelline. it is oil free so it won't cause you to break-out. darker shades don't cover the redness of the face. u should get a foundation that matches ur skin tone. check it by applying a little on the jawline. get the one that matches the most. that will give u an even skin color.

I have redness and have oily skin. What works for me is Maybelline Express Makeup 3-in-1. Just try the make-up on and see what shade works.
One lightweight stick
Glides on liquid smooth
Dots on to conceal
Finishes powder-light
Oil-free SPF 15

Green concealer evens out the red in your skin. My cheeks are super red when I don't have make up on. I have to use green concealer. As for the oil, you should use something that says it controls oil. My face is so oily, nothing works for very long anyway.

I have alot of red on my cheeks and i think bare escentuals is great. Everyone always tells me i have great skin. They think i dont wear makeup. trust me if they ever saw me without it on, they would see all my dark circles, redness, age spots, etc. So i would say it does a great job. I also suffer from oily skin and am prone to breakouts, but this helps because it doesnt clog your pores.
