I swear these things just keep coming back and coming back. I think they could survive a nuclear holocaust.

I'm not saying they keep coming back to ME personally, just in general. With all that has happened on the earth, they continue to survive, EVERYWHERE. What's made them so adaptable to all these different environments?

you can't call it survival bcoz you can't see them reviving from the pain they've passed... they're just many, bcoz of endless mating, resulting to newly born nymphs until they grow up and strike again.. another thing, cockroaches crave for food.. so they search for anything they could see in their way.. w/c are only food parrticles.. that's why when you eat cookies inside your room(w/ tiny particles falling), you discover the next day that a cockroach has entered your room..

You're right: if a nuclear blast wiped out the entire human population of the earth, cockroaches would be one of the only species to survive because they are not harmed by radiation.

They have survived because they have quick reflexes and when you think it was stepped on, it scuttles away. If you want to get rid of them, poison 'em

Because there is so much trash for them from us. And even before humans were here, they, like crocodiles were not fussy eaters.
