I agree. There so predictable and low on plot. More special effects than story line. One sequel is just a copy of it's predecessor.

Star Wars (the original trilogy not the modern crappy version) was an action-adventure and the spaceships were styled to reflect that; Star Trek has always been more about drama so most of the ships are more neutral looking instead of being war-ships. I like the spaceships in both but Star Trek has always annoyed me because of the utterly ludicrous technical errors and plot-holes. If I was going to buy a sci-fi model, I would choose a Star Wars one rather than Star Trek so I guess Star Wars wins in my case.

You must have missed the seventies and early eighties. Starwars is not only the movies but the events around the movies as well. The sign of great movies are the effet they have on their audiences and Starwars dominated the Sci Fi market, creeped in on the romance market and established the special effects market. Not to mention it took over the toy and costume markets. It also established the idea that not all aliens are little green men or evil monsters. It paved the way for movies yet to come.

No you're not! When the new ones came out a few years ago I thought I would try them, seeing as there was such a fuss being made. I have never been so bored in my whole life! Within minutes my mind was elsewhere and at the end I hadn't a clue who was who and what was what!!

I'm always amazed by comments like this. I wonder who says them... the generation that grew up with Star Wars,, or the kids today that watched them to see what Ep 1-3 was about.
I think they were very well done for their time.

fans of the star wars would be after your head, then!! i love the star wars, but i suppose that you're entitled to have a personal opinion...i'm born in '86, but i still think that the original trilogy is the best!!
Cheers!!!

No they are dull to and extent, the new ones at least. Honestly i'd love to make so much fun of what's his name, the fat racist guy that wrote those stupid sequals. But yeah it's ok if you get into it. If it's not your bag then that's fine. You don't have to like it. It's not everyones cup of tea.
