Women are expensive from toe to head, you still don't know that!

The size of the general trend of the feet actually doesn't matter. What you want to look at is the "women" part of your question and then think back to "supply" and "demand" from middle school. Women generally "love" shoes (I'm such a woman). Demand rises. Manufacturers put out - here's the supply. Here's the trick. Manufacturers, designers, and stores begin playing with prices. Suddenly they realize that depending on the style, some women will pay ANYTHING for a pair of shoes. Most men say "screw it" after it hits (say) $100. If a woman sees a pair of (insert famous designer here) shoes costing $1000, if she has the money, she's going to pay for them. Suddenly, she has shoes many women would "die" for, but can't afford. Shoes can be status in some fields.

The cost is in the labour - the same regardless of clothes/shoes/accessories size.
Add to that the Mendleson-imposed taxes on cheap clothes from the Far East (no worries for the £250,000pa homosexual former Labour (twice disgraced) Cabinet minister, and the cost of clothing is going to rise in coming months. Not a problem for HIM, but a considerable worry for those of us who are struggling to pay for food.

of course!! anything to do with women's fashion will cost you more, it's the way it's always been and will continue to be that way until women wake up and smell the roses! all manufacturers are fully aware that women will pay top dollar for clothing, shoes and accessories. i refuse to pay good money for clothing that has absolutely no quality workmanship invloved, i'd rather pay a tailor and have something made to measure before i purchased something off a production line

Because of the design and the delicate craftmanship involved. Did u ever look at a sandal with a high heel, and how it perfectly fits a ladys feet and hold her up against gravity! Thats the reason the shoes are expensive.

Women's shoes are of the higher tax rate, but if you have small feet go to the childrens department where they are less expensive there.

women's shoes cost what women are willing to pay. as long as women keep paying outrageous prices for shoes, shoe makers will
take what ever the market will bear.

i would say alot of the time they are more intracate in there design and of coarse the demands on fashion for women to have those named brands, which often means the manufactures can name there own price!! and those silly fashion conscious women pay it!! often high street brands have the same on offer for alot lot less.
