I believe that it is because women their own age remind them of THEIR age! They want younger women to prove that they're still virile, super-masculine "studs." In other words, it makes the man feel younger.

i think it's because a women of the same age is immature and could not handle the responsibility of a successful man. An older woman has knowledge and experience and may even be successful as well. A younger woman is simply a trophy wife and is allowed only what her successful husband thinks she should have.

Funny you should say that. I am a college student and also a house painter. The guys house that I am working on right now told us that his girlfriend is 19. This pissed me off because he is 32. He owns his own building company which has been handed to him. He hasn't had to really work for anything and he has taken a potential girl from me LOL. I am 21 and feel that most girls my age are looking for guys like that. This pisses me off arg!

I think its a combination of things
-ego boost, being able to get a hot young thing
-virtually stress free, a woman his age or older will not fall for the crazy stuff
-likes being a provider
On the flip side as an older woman
-doesnt want to deal with a man set in his ways
-looking for a younger-flexible guy who is willing to try things and not set in his ways
-can take care of herself w/o man financially

Because its a status thing. They need arm candy because most of them are shallow when it comes to personal relationships. They're too busy making money!
