I just say the glass IS.
Or is it? Before we can get to whether the glass is half full or half empty, first we have to KNOW that it is a "glass". (sorry, I'm viewing this from the philosophical perspective). Could it be a cup? Could it also be a flower vase? (I've seen people use glasses of water for flowers before) Is it just a glass? (as in ONE lens out of a set of reading glasses for example). See, perception can go beyond "half empty" and "half full", the way you perceive "glass" can even go many ways.

Half full because it fell in the toilet. Should I wash it or just throw it away?I guess it depends on what's in your glass today.
