I do it too....I think it's because we're not very thrilled about who we actually are, and wish we could be more like this dream person. Solution of course, is to try and change and improve ourselves.

If you dream to be someone else then I believe you know why and you also know who it is that youd like to become. So take a look at you and the new person too and come up with a happy medium achievable you....dont discard whats good about you by completely being someone else. But never be afraid to admit that there are things about you that you'd like to change. I'm sure once you combine the two you's ....you'll be able to come up with someone that truly represents you well.

Perhaps because you're not happy with who you are today and that you strive to be a lot better?
I use to do that when i was terribly shy. I worked on myself and became more courageous. I can now speak in public, and i don't worry about people liking me anymore.
Back then I use to worry about what others thought of me, then one day I just changed. People began approaching me, and I was no longer shy. :-)

your not satisfied with yourself. i feel that too, but then I realize who i am and how much i have made a difference and that helps keep me secure
