Speedy delivery is not as important to me. I am looking for a good price with reliability. I am thinking of US Postal Service with the initial fee of $18 for a box package. Anyone know any other good cheaper package senders.

There is no cheaper service in the US, and their speed is almost as good as any other out there, though they lack a little in the service dept.. Companies like UPS, DHL and FedEx mostly sell their speed and their premium costumer service. With these services you can get "real-time" tracking because they use GPS and cellular systems and have for years, the USPS will generally have the information on your delivery by the end of the business day.
But the USPS gives the most bang for the buck, they have access to the most planes and more employees, to get the packages to wherever they need to be.

I have to agree with "dee dee dee" on this.

We use USPS for all package mailings. Whether it is overseas or across the country. For a couple dollars more you can add services to it such as return reciept and certified mail reciept to ensure the package was actually recieved and by whom.

I wanted to send my son a christmas package 3 years ago before he shipped out to Afganistan and the competitors wanted an extra arm and a long wait in line . We went to USPS, their costs were near half and delivery time was only a day longer without priority mail. Been using them ever since.

Good luck,
