FYI, I am leaving my present employer for a major potential client of that employer; I will be able to provide my present employer with significant business from my future employer. To say that I am happy about the move is an understatement.

No one really care what you wear for your last day, but if it that important to you, wear a nice dressey black suit. Hard as job are to come by now a day I hope you have another one.

You should look and act as professional as you did when you were normally working there. The reason you gave notice was in order to leave a good impression for future employers in case they call your current employer. Also you may need to work there again, so being in your best behavior is good.
But if there is no requirement for dress code, why dress up for a place that you have no future in? If the dress code allows jeans, wear jeans.
