probably the number of cases diagnosed is increasing

Increasing. There is a common assumption that ADHD is over-diagnosed in America. However, if you look at the caucasians that settled the New World, you will think that it took alot of guts or wreckless ambition that is the earmark of ADHD. Imagine a person who is not fitting in with his peers discovering the freedom of the frontier...it is not hard to think that alot of the ADHD types wound up concentrated in this Country.
In addition, if one parent has had ADHD in their family, they have a 30% chance of passing it on. If both have it in their family gene pool, the chance goes to 50%
