I'm a big fan of Western Digital. When I used to build my own, I liked their dependability. Now, I don't even bother anymore b/c
www.stupidcheapcomputers.net has the quality but insanely low prices.

Wow, somebody on Yahoo knows what they're talking about! S.H. Rooms has it right. OCZ makes the best DDR. Corsair makes the best DDR2. ATI makes the best video cards. And Seagate's hard drives are twice the quality of anyone else's, plus, they're the fastest, if you don't include the extremely expensive Western Digital Raptors.
And Seagate's newest technology, which they sell for the same price per GB as everyone else's 10 year old technology, called Perpendicular Recording (they store the data vertically, instead of horizontally), is about 95% as fast as a WD Raptor, but at less than half the price per GB.

it depend on the motherboard nforce-4 maxtor serial ata 2 you need to disable the ncq .segate wont raid and western digital is slower than parallel on 975 chip run the 16mb maxtor ram i like mushkin ocz or corsair if your using asus its picky use corsair
