Talk about bringing the ghetto to the world. This clown is a fool.

I am not that familiar with Chris Carter, but he is hardly the only one “bringing the ghetto”, as you call it, to the world. You have the entire entertainment establishment that is complicit in dummying down the population by giving generous and undeserved airtime to the hip-hop culture, and giving Ebonics and urban language respect. When no-talent hacks like Puff Daddy, or Pdiddy, or whatever he chooses to call himself nowadays, is given the title musician in the same right that Santana or Eric Clapton is called a musician, you know something in society is awry. When thugs who cannot even construct a coherent English sentence, like Biggie Smalls or Tupac Shakur, are considered poets akin to Shakespeare or T. S. Eliot, we are not advancing as a society. We are in fact regressing.

The ghettoficiation of our culture, for lack of a better term, is something that cannot be blamed on any single person. The entire media establishment is culpable. I loathe it more than anyone else.

No. By far Stephen A Smith I don't like him one bit. I actually saw him on tv berate a kids email because he didnt like it. The email stated that by the numbers Dwayne Wade looked to be on a better path at this time in his career then MJ and does he think Wade would be better. Smith said I refuse to answer such a dumb ? and that the kid should go away and come back to him when he had a smart thing to say and that MJ was the best of all time and the kid was stupid for suggesting anything else. Now I agree MJ is the best but you dont answer an email like that especially from a 13 year old kid. Also I dont know about ignorance but Bryant Gumble is arrogant as heck and like others were saying Michael Irvin is more ignorant then Chris Carter.

Why do you phrase your question in such a way?

Are you implying that all black commentators are ignorant (which is racist and stupid) or implying that there are so many ignorant white commentators on tv, that you needed a "token black" for this category.

As far as the commentator that gets under my skin the most, it's probably Michael Irvin. He actually has some decent insights, but he just loves to hear his own voice. Deion Sanders is also hard to take. I'd also look to reserve a place for Jim Gray on any such list.

I think it is a tie between Stephen A Smith and Michael Irvin. Michael Irvin is bias about the Cowboys and brings no value to any question that is asked of him. Stephen A Smith just likes to hear himself talk and think the world revolves around him.

If you are talking about Cris Carter one of the best WRs to play the game, then no (I have not seen him as a commentator, but I stand by my answer)

Yes, SAS and MI are idiots, SAS especially. Lately, MI was particularly stupid by saying (in reference to Tiki retiring) "in my mind, that sounds more like walking away" what a ******* *** --Jim Brown and Barry Sanders "walked away" too --are they not good players? Tom Jackson, who's usually cool, was also a jerk about Tiki. A distraction to the team? Do you even ask the players? They're totally behind him. We should actually do away with commentators, and just have announcers/news reporters. Let people have their own opinions.

It's close, but I'd have to go with Michael Irvin.

Both of them need to be kicked off the air.

Both Irvin and Carter are nothing but middle-aged, spoiled-rotten wanna-be gang-bangers.

I agree with all those who say Irvine and Smith.
Smith thinks his **** don't smell...and Irvine did too much coke because whatever comes to his head he just yells it out and 98 % of the time it makes no sense at all. They are both ignorant men and should really watch themselves on T.V cuz i don't think they know how lame they look.

I would definately agree with the Michael Irvin fans, Irvin is horrible...or the dumb @ss who was in the booth during the Miami vs. FIU game. I knew as soon as he started opening his mouth that he was fired.

No, he is close though.

1.) Stephen A. Smith
2.) Michael Irvin

Well, he's close. He worships the ground Culpepper and Denny Green walk on, and well...just look at what they've done lately. I appreciate his respect for his former teammate and coach, but it's quite obvious that they have major short-comings that he's ignoring due to his relationship with them, which makes him a poor analyst...
