Well this is a spectacularily silly question on several grounds. First because it isn't a question. More fond of lesbian sex or masturbation than what? You haven't finished the sentence.
And it also presumes that someone has done a substantial survey of university girls (and you're on dangerous ground there -- most females attending university think of themselves as women) to find out their preferences in the fields of lesbian sex or masturbation.
So until you can get your thinking straightened out, and present a reasonable question, you aren't going to get any sensible answers.

studying in a university means hectic study schedules and nerve-racking pressures... so i guess, one way to unwind is having sex the safer way, lesbian sex... or another thing is self-pleasure, masturbate...
but don't generalize that all university girls prefer lesbian sex over hetero sex... maybe they really are lesbians by heart...

They don't have anybody looking after them (i.e. parents). So they feel less inhibited to experiment or be themselves. Once they get that sense of freedom I guess they just get more experimental.
