F. not chemically combined. A mixture has two or more materials in it, but they are still distinct and separate things. An example would be sand and iron filings mixed together. The sand has not chemically combined with the metal. You can get the iron out with relative ease by using a magnet. The sand and iron are mixed, but they are still separate and distinct from one another.
