if our brains is correct, it should be their faces... but why so many times i saw on newspaper, mags, ref books, in speech etc they use 'their face'?

Our brains is correct if you are referring to individuals.

"Our" is plural and must get a plural noun.

Unfortunately, we've become slightly lazy in the speaking area and, since people understand what we're saying, the incorrect version sometimes starts to sound fine. My biggest pet peeve is when someone says, "I could care less." There's still more room for less caring??? No, what is really meant is, "I could NOT care less." *sigh*

=)

G'day didi,

Thank you for your question.

As our is a plural, brains is the correct usage.

For example,

I racked my brain to come up with an answer to your question.

If it was more than one person including me was involved, it would be "we racked our brains to come up with an answer" to your question.

I have attached sources for your reference.

Regards

Unless you are sharing a brain with someone (who is clearly getting cheated in this deal), "our brains" is correct.

if you are speaking to a group it is correct to say, "our brains" and "our lives". But if it is a couple like you and your spouse it would be "our life together".

The sentence is lots too long and has too many commas. "interior the uncomplicated regulations..." is the commencing up of a clean sentence via fact is a separate thought. i might additionally deleted the comma between gaining wisdom of and are.
