The graphics card in the iMac is good enought to drive a 30HD display but apple doesn't have the DVI connector out needed... instead they have the mini DVI which can only drive a 23" display... how do i connect a proper DVI connector to the monitor card without cutting the computer apart and voiding the apple care warranty... is there a sneaky way to connect the DVI to the video card?

The mini to DVI adapter will drive a 23" display but apple purposely left out some pins on the mini dvi so that it wouldn't drive the 30" monitor... to differentiate the "pro" line of products and the "consumer" line of products.. but rest assured the monitor card has the capability to drive the 30" monitor.. I'm hoping that somebody out there has done it without cutting apart the back of the iMac.
