What does the slang word "word" mean?

It pretty much means you agree with something.

Example:

Boy: "This pizza's good."

Boy1: "Word."

It means, "no name", we humans do it but do not admit it, or agree to not admit it because it is, if we admit it, embarrassing or belittling for no good reason other than rules of language and culture, but no substance.
It may be the transition point from a village to a town. In a village, everyone is known, know by lineage or function, class or so on. But in a town, not everyone is known or named in every way. Associational belonging begins to be accepted.
