I personally think he should be deported. & the muslim community should stand up to him and get rid of him, his views cause ppl to place muslims in one category, racists.
This isn't the 1st time he has made controversial, rude, arrogant comments.
He stepped WAY over the line here and should pay. So what he's apologised, does that mean he can get away with it, i bet if you abused a police officer like that an apology would get you no where fast.
So what he's been banned from speaking at present..and your point being..like thats gonna stop him.
The way I c it he's basically condoning rape and forcing the blame onto innocent parties.
Sure dont get me wrong some girls dress provocatively and get unwanted attention but hey they feel comfortable in that, the same way muslims feel comfortable in their traditional dress.

He has no right to tell Australians how to dress in OUR country.
If he and his 'followers' dont like it & cant ignore it and lead ther own lives then why the hell are you still here???

If an American may weigh in,
1. It is not the first time that particular mufti has blown off at the mouth. He made some anti-American statements when visiting Lebanon in Sept. 2001 after the attacks, I think.
2. He is a very small part of it. Remember the world wide riots because of a silly cartoon? The riots in France, the bombings in Spain? All part of a concerted effort to pick off the weakest elements of the West (what used to be called Christendom in the West, but now probably is only called that on Al Jazeera).
3. The prime minister of Iran is not working in a vacuum either.
4. Remember that hot little war that Israel fought against the Palestinians and Hizbollah last summer (our summer your winter).
5. There is a world war going on, but so far only one side is fighting, except for a small contingent of US-led troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

He's just made the statement that he won't be retiring until the White House is destroyed. He's preaching terrorism and was applauded by his followers for doing so. Get rid of the grub

Yes, Australia misunderstood this mufti. Probably, what he meant was because of his stature, he could not be the cat that can eat the exposed meat. Since he can't, then will you Australian please wrap your meat completely.

He has already apologized and has been put out to pasture. Let it go now. If there were hell and brimstone for every time a politician make stupid, irresponsible comments, there wouldn't be one in office today.
