Very reliable! I have a '95 Tahoe with the 350 in it and it has 234,000 plus miles on it. Like said previously, as long as you keep up with the routine maintenance, it will last you forever. I would say this is Chevy's "Flag Ship" engine!

The 350 was the revolutionary engine of the world! After chevy made the small bock, chrysler prctically copied the design part for part, and Ford small blocks are almost exact replicas of chevy engines! The 350 will never let you down, especially since it is so easy to tune and modify to get that 400 hp you are looking for!

Yes the 350 is reliable depending on how good it was taken cared of. It is a common engine too. Parts are relatively cheaper and more attainable because of the popularity of this engine.

Not the dumbest question I've ever read in Answers...but......The small block Chevy is about as reliable a motor as you will ever find guy...no matter what the displacement. Only motor Chevy ever made that surpasses the small block V-8 is the inline 6. Now THAT motor will go down in history as Chevy's best engine...EVER!

You better believe it...just remember to check under the hood once in a while.

As with any engine, if you don't lift the hood until the dash lights come on indicating a problem, then the 350 engine is no better than any other engine.

the chevy 350 is probably one of the most popular choices in engines. even ford owners will drop a chevy 350 in an old ford because they know that the chevy engines are better.

It depends on which engine since so many 350s have been made. The ones from the late eighties, early nineties had terrible electrical problems. Old ones are good and new ones are better.
