Is it worth it to have your email posted here so people can "rebut" or respond to you?

I haven't done it, because I believe that I will just get inundated with emails from disgruntled people, or get hate mail, or whatever. So, those of you who get email from this forum, please tell me what your experience has been, and if you think its worthwhile to receive emails from just random strangers.

In a better world I would be glad to accept e-mail if I thought I could help someone.

However, from some of the questions and remarks I have seen posted here, there are too many people who don't have a life and too many downright vulgar items that have no business being on what could be a big help to so many.
