This all started last night.. All of a sudden my computer started to receive many annoying pop ups that doesn't really go away. The one that bothers me the most is one that comes up as www.ad-w-a-r-e.com.... I'm not sure how this started because my computer was working pretty fine. How can I stop this from happening??? Please Help! Thanks!

My favorite program to use is Ad-Aware by Lavasoft. Another great program is Spybot. If you're using Internet Explorer, you may consider switching to Mozilla Firefox. I have found that this browser tends to block more pop-ups than Internet Explorer. You may also consider downloading a program called "SiteAdvisor" by McAfee. This will "advise" you when you use a search engine. If will show a checkmark for sites that are relatively safe and an "X" for sites that contain unwanted items such as popups and spam. Hope this helps.

Are you using Yahoo's pop-up blocker? It is on Yahoo's toolbar. Click it and choose "enable."

If you are still bothered, click the pop-up blocker button and choose "why am I still getting pop--ups"?

Hi Jamar, i don't know whether or not this will help, but did you check your computer for viruses?..I have ad-ware downloaded on my computer and run it once , or twice a week to check for viruses on my computer.so if you don't have that on your computer, i suggest that you get newer protection for your computer...hearveytpl
