I think a warning about trans fat is far more imortant than a warning on a coffee cup tell you the the contents of the cup is hot.

For people who have diseases such as ALD, adrenoleukodystrophy, a lable telling trans fat content in and food product is not only welcomed it is a god-send.

The reason is that people with ALD are incapable of breaking down trans fats and verlong chain fatty acids in general. So the levels of these type of fats keep building up in there bodies. The faster they build up the faster the disease progresses.

I think the trans fat advisory should not be limited to the labels of fast food but that it should be placed on all comercial food products.

By the way ALD is a rear genetic disease and affects primarily boys. It involves the deteritoration of the brain cells and the retardation of adrenal function.

When I think about the average IQ of someone who eats fast food, it probably would be a good idea. Then again, how many people know what a trans fat is and how too much of it affects their health.

Some countries in Europe actually banned trans fat. I know NYC discussed that idea. I don't know if lot of people will use it, but might be starting point for transitioning into trans fat ban.

Yeah and then they should advise you which hole to put it in. These advisories are getting ridiculous.
