Really all you can do is keep lids on garbage cans tight, make sure there isnt any food say for dogs or cats in your yard..and look for any trees with fruits on them that may attract the possum..of if its really a problem you may need to call an expert in to remove the animal. Good luck

not much you can do. depending on where you live you might find anything from opossoums , racoons, bunnies in your yard.
if however the opossum is causing problems there are some things you can do to not make it want to stay.
-leave an outside light on a couple nights a week. this will deter em
-fox urine (availble at most hunting outfitters will also get rid of bunnies.)"does stink"

You can trap them and take 'em up the road a piece and drop 'em off there. I've caught lots of them- they stink up the trap though....Rat traps work on small ones too.

What for? Opossums eat garden snails. If you have opossums, you won't have snails.
