The best place to sometimes meet real folks is in the places nearest you. Not the mall or the club where that stuff is expected. You gotta go where most women or men will least expect it, like Wal-Mart, the laundry mat, gas station, or bus stop. Basic places where people don't have to put on a face helps you and them you can both see the type of person you really are without all the show.

The best place to meet a chicks is in a 4year college campus that has lots of dorms.... theres so much hooking up going on, they're freakn breeding grounds and the dorms are the incubators.... trust me =)...
Join some school clubs, like a latin club, even if your not latin... they got hot girls and hot friends... frat partys are good spots to meet girls, there's plenty of options bro.... goodluck, ciao!

A nice place to meet is the library, the cafeteria at college, or the gymn. Sometimes the track is a great place. Church can be good-just depends.

Starbucks. It's packed with plenty of lonely 40-something state workers after 4pm. They just sit there by themselves, drinking their Venti Frappuccinos and munching their over-priced scones, just waiting for someone to say hello to brighten up their lonely existence. Oh, did you say "nice"? I thought you said desperate! Oh, sorry. I think the 'nice' people can be found at the soup kitchen, dishing out meals to the hobos. If you want super-nice, try the nunnery.
