I agree with Tomlinson. I'd also add Torry Holt, Tiki Barber, Drew Brees, Tony Gonzales, Donovan McNabb, Warrick Dunn, Deuce McAllister, Junior Seau and Peyton Manning. All are well-spoken, active in their communities, hard-working, team-first kind of guys whose on the field performances speak louder than their statements to the media. These guys have never been part of off-the-field scandals and put a positive face on the league.

In particular I give credit to Brees for being a visible part of the New Orleans reconstruction effort and really trying to get other players to participate, To Warrick Dunn for calling out other players to contribute, to McNabb for taking the high road during the T.O. nonsense, to Deuce for how he's handled the media frenzy around Reggie Bush jwhile he was busting his butt rehabbing a torn ACL- so unlike most prima donnas.

Hines Ward. He always has a smile on his face even when he's knockin' somebody down. He acts as a spokesman for bi-racial children & is heavily involved with the community here in Pittsburgh. Also, Chad Jonson, from the hated Cincy Bungals. He's just a good , clean player that seems to love playin' the game & while he harrasses the next week's corners, he doesn't insult or belittle players. Even if he gets beat down by another player, he doesn't bad mouth the guy, he just busts his hump to beat him next time. He & Ike Taylor of the Steelers have had some great batles.

Marvin Harrison. I'm not a Colts fan, but the guy is a real class act. He does what every football player should do, go and play the game. He doesn't whine, fuss, shy away from his teammates or anything of that nature. All he does is catch balls when it's thrown to him and score touchdowns, doesn't even celebrate. Other players like T.O., Chad Johnson, Randy Moss are just too caught up on themselves and aren't "team players". Of all the top wide recievers, I would have Harrison, Holt, or Bruce on my team anyday.

Mark Bulger, the quarterback for the St. Louis Rams is a very classy guy. He keeps his composure on the field, and remains focused and low key to get the job done when the time comes. He's a fairly accurate quarterback who would have all of the reasons in the world to celebrate a win, but does it in a way that's respectful.

I just think it's cool.

Troy Vincent. He felt he could play, and the Bills place him on so-called "minor IR." He may've wanted to be released, but whatever the case, he handled it like a man, and hung around the team, teaching Ko and Dante and has generally been a good influence. He recently quietly was released and signed with the Redskins. Maybe he'll be able to knock some sense into Sean Taylor, God knows that thug needs it...

There's alot of them. I'll give my favorite player as an example, Ladanian Tomlinson. He doesn't celebrate in the endzone, he just drops the ball and goes back to work, he acts like he's been there before. He hasn't been getting as many touches this year since the Chargers have been breaking in Rivers, but he never complains, they ask him about it in the media and he's always supportive of his team. He doesn't trash talk in the media, always gives respect to opposing teams/players. He's also very involved in the community here in SD.

I would have to add Chad Pennington to the list of class acts. I have met chad several times and he is always polite and never cocky. He spoke at a church function for teens while he was still at Marshall. He told the kids about being able to have fun without drinking and doing drugs. I have talked to him a couple of times since he went to the NFL and that has not changed him at all.

Vince Young, the guy hasn't done a lot yet but with all the media around him he has still remained the same guy since in college. all around class act with his attitude and the way he holds himself. One of very few real role models entering into the NFL.

Curtis Martin...this guy is a hall of famer in the largest media market and you never ever hear of him getting in trouble or running his mouth (which is hard to do in NYC). This guy sets the standard for how pro athletes should act

I agree with everyone said. Except Steve Smith. He's not a jerk, but he still (at one point) talks trash (not in a mean spirited way, just jokingly like Ocho Cino, but that's still trash talking).

for me LT would win it though. Like said, he doesn't complain even when he is used alot less or used in stupid ways. He's team first, and acts like he's a 10yr+ veteran (Hell, he's got numbers to compete with guys who've been around alot longer than him, so I can't wait to see them at the end of his career).
