I don't feel the same way, but I somewhat wish I could. For me, death makes me somewhat scared for some reason, and I can't help it, no matter what I do.
People probably think it's weird for you to feel that way because most people don't, so it's un-natural for someone to feel that way usually.
Though like I said, I don't think it's a bad way to feel. I wish I was that comfortable with death.
Before I go to bed, I always tend to feel like all the things I've gone through, and I see in front of my face won't be seen anymore because I'll be long gone. I just feel that way, and wish I didn't.

That all depends. Are you trying to kill youself or other people as a result of your fascination with death? If so then I would think you're weird for it.
But if not, then under what context would you think that death is cool? Is it about some people's belief in the afterlife and stuff that fascinates you the most? Is it about the whole process of dying?
Not trying to bring you down or anything, just trying to understand the question a little better. Although I do like the fact that you accept death as a natural process of life. And although it is natural to fear death, one must not let the fact that one will die prevent one from striving to have a fufilling life.

No, you are not the only one fascinated with death. I work in a nursing home and deal with death on a regular basis. It doesn't bother me a bit. I am always looking for the spirit of the deceased and my coworkers think my brain is warped. I love anything related to the paranormal and the actual dying process. You are not weird at all. Death is simply a part of life and being unafraid of it makes you a strong person. Check out Sylvia Browne's books. She is great when it comes to explaining death and the afterlife.

Death is a fact of life- once you have accepted it, the thoughts about it can be mind blowing--- no more work, traffic on the freeways, ignorant people at the banks, stores, telemarketers, and no more TAXES!. When you really compare the two, death wins hands down. It's the unknown, but you get to do something we all love to do---- sleep, like forever, no more alarm clocks! PS dont forget to turn your clock back Saturday nite-- oh, that's for the living only. And no you're not weird, you are the sane one among the insane.

No, people have different fascinations. Why do you think horror movies exist? Because you aren't the only one who is intrigued by death. Spirits and the like have fascinated people for ages. Different cultures, obviously not ours are highly focused upon death and the afterlife and spiritualism

Fascination in part originates from curiosity and one can be curious about anything. But since we have only one life and no known way of returning to this known world if we do not like the world beyond, which is unknown to us, I prefer to live the life first and know abotu this world as much as I can, before moving beyond when time comes and then know it more. I guess I will have plenty of time to research that too. Being alive and thinking about things beyond death is something like being in Paris and wondering about what Great China Wall looks like. I guess I will see this world first and when I get there, I will get to see it too.

I know other people who are fascinated with things to do with death. They are otherwise "normal." I had this friend who loved to visit graveyards and wanted to be an embalmer. I thought that was odd, but she was perfectly normal and was sweet. So it must not be too weird.
