Cold is NEVER a problem for any computer or associated equipment. MOISTURE will kill them every time.
"Big Iron" systems are kept in rooms which are usually between 68 - 72 degrees but the humidity is below 30%. As long as you don't allow any dew to form on the equipment (covering it up is a necessity, not an option) then you shouldn't have any problems. If you have it in a garage or under some sort of awning, that will help as well.
When you are ready to buy a new system, go to www.stupidcheapcomputers.net. I buy all of my stuff from them.
I bought a complete, new system from them with a warranty for LESS than it would cost me to build it myself or order a custom one from the manufacturer. You can use my frequent buyer code: ATX926. That will get an additional 10% discount at checkout.
I have NEVER had any problems with anything that they have sold me and their customer service is outstanding. Those guys blow my mind.
Good luck!

There is a very good chance it will. Depending on if you've got it covered, boxed, etc. of course. When the monitor starts to cool, it'll tend to collect condensation. (dew) that could get into it, and ruin the electronics.

Wow, you've got to be living in a very safe area to leave a computer monitor outside overnight!

Don't hook it up until its had a chance to return to room temperature. If its humid or frost forms outside let it give it time to dry out as well as return to room temperature. Even with these precautions its no guarantee you won't have problems.
