Cite at the end of the sentence in brackets.

Depending on what paper it is, you might need to include a bibliography/references at the end of the paper as well.

According to MLA documentation and a little dependent on if you are using a large quote or just the idea of the reference you are citing (Keene and Adams 198).

The book I cited has two authors and the number is the page I found the information on. Notice I did not seperate the authors or the page number with a comma.

Is there is many specific ways to cite. This is only one example. Can you give me an example of what you will be citing, and I can attempt to help you?

1,2,3,4 is end note, and you cant use that in APA referencing.

for APA quoting you would go (intext)
Saintinistic (2006) states "this is how it is done" (p.6).

and on the reference page you would list alphabetically
Saintinistic, The (2006). The art of skillfull referencing. Auckland New Zealand: Sinful Publishers

I woul;d suggest citingb(using the ideas but not neccesarily the exact wording) as it is easier to do and quicker. it also shows you have an understanding of it, not just the ability to copy. it would be like this: blah blah blah (Saintinistic, 2006)

and the reference will still be the same in the reference page.

remember that the ref page is an page of its own, not part of the last page of your text.
