Foam can be washed in the washer, foam rubber can not. If WalMart still has these why not go look and see if they have any instructions or list what it is made of. Foam rubber is very heavy and I have never seen it pink so I will guess, it is just a guess that you can wash your egg crate. But one more thing when foam gets old it drys and starts to kind of crumble if yours is doing this then don't wash it. If it is in good condition though go ahead, just like a pillow they are meant to be washed regularly. Cold water, gently cycle but no to the dryer. If your dryer has a no heat cycle you can use that. But just throw it over a shower curtain or something to dry. It depends on the foam, some don't hold water at all others are just like a sponge, you can try putting some water on it before washing to see what will happen to yours. If you don't want to deal with all this you can get a home steamer and keep it clean with steam, do your mattress while you are at it. : ) Good Luck.

It would soak up water like a sponge & take FOREVER to dry. Besides, that foam stuff wasn't meant to be washed. It would more than likely fall apart. It would probably even melt in the dryer IF your could wring enough water out of it first just to put it in the dryer.... I wouldn't chance it either way, I'd just get another one....

I wouldn`t put a foam padding eggcrate in the washer. I would be afraid it would fall apart and mess up your washer plus your plumbing...I think I would buy a new foam eggcrate if I were you. Sorry!

No, it doesn't sound like a good idea. Toss it and get a new one.
