Why do they still do this procedure when its pointless and can screw a person up as badly as this unfortunate dude got screwed up.

Wow...that's horrible. Seriously, I never thought about this issue in this way, and now I'll have to think twice if I ever have a child and it's a boy whether or not to have this procedure performed on him...

Okay for one, that wasn't in the US, and it was in Austrailia. If he had a defect because of a circumcision that meant that their health care or the doctors were malpracticing. And that is cultural what that was it isn't across the board. Because if that was the case in it being a detriment, it would be outlawed in the US I already know. It's a cultural procedure and not performed everywhere, but it is in many countries. But that's just like any procedure and something goes wrong. He had an unfortunate experience and he got compensated for it. There's millions of people that had a similar situation and got nothing... Find someone in the US with that same story. Because I know our health care is more advanced than Austraila.

Circumcisions are still performed because it is a Jewish tradition. Compare it to celebrating Easter: Christians celebrate Easter in Spring, because it so happened to coincide with a pagan holiday that had the same symbols. Jews still practice circumcision, because it killed two birds with one stone, it satisfies a commandment from God and protects against STDs.

Well,in regards to circumcision,if that's what you mean........would you like your penis to have a thick lap of skin that can not only affect your sexual performance,but be difficult to maintain.It's a nasty procedure from what I understand.Not all of them go wrong,it just depends on the doctor doing it right.

It's become aesthetically pleasing and accepted. That's really why it's still done. Also, miseducation has led people to believe that circumcizing their son will make them healthier.

due to thinking on it this is thought to be healther but in fact by the. ama. this isnt nessary in the old testament this was done it is inthe bible cerceamition that christ was talking of was within the heart . ?
