when the anti virus searches for the virus,it should give you a specific place in your computer where it is.for example:
C:\WINDOWS\system32
most viruses will land there in your computer, this mean you have to go and look for it yourself, which means you have to acces your computers files and documents.WARNING!
If you think youre going to mess with the files there you will regret it,you might mess your computer up,now again make sure your antivirus program gives you a specific place where that virus is.When you get the link, folow it through the file called "My computer" after you do that and find the viruses name there, delete it manually by right clicking and delete.if you get a small screen telling you access denied,it is being used by another person or program, just turn on task manager, you turn it on by pressing the following keyes "Ctrl+Alt+Delete" the delete key is not backspace, its close it tho, youl find it=).anyways when you get the task manager, there are procceses, once you find them, look for one that has the exact same name as the virus name, delete it and then try deleting the virus from the computer manually again.if this doesnt work, turn your computer off and start it again, once youve done that, go to the specific place where your virus is and delete it as fast as you can before it starts its procces in your computer.
Sorry I had to make you read alot, but itll help you.=)

I have a spy sweeper, norton anti-virus, and a windows washer. They can be purchased at any Best Buy.
A few years ago my computer was infected and I was told to re-boot, and start over. Read your computer booklet to learn how. Then I bought the above items, plus a firewall. After installing everything the virus went away.

I finally bought Webroot's Spysweeper program. That's the only thing that would get rid of all the spyware for me.
