I have a virus in my computer I can't erase. AVG can't get rid of it and evrytime I try to delete the file it says it can't because it is being used. What can I do?

Go to start>run>type msconfig
turn off suspcious startup files by clicking on check mark.
Reboot, and try to delete file
If not, hit F8 at boot screen
go to safe mode
Try to delete file
Safemode only loads basic drivers.

Some viruses execute repeatedly at power-on.
Run your antivirus in Safe Mode.
