i think its a really pretty name. You dont exactly want a common name so i think you's have chosen well. Good luck with the bub :)

Dont worry about what people think about it. I have had people frown at every name I pick. That is just what they will do. Im having my 4th baby and not telling anyone the name except for my parents and one certain friend. I wont even tell my in laws until the baby is born. I have learned that I dont want those frowns. I think Johanna is a very cute name. I love it.

Has a good ring to it.

I like the fact that it was a name of a distant relative. That's very traditional.

"Joey" is a cool nickname.

Never heard of Johonna -- did you mean Johanna or Johnna? Anyhow I like the name. BTW, if it's really Johonna, you're letting the poor kid in for a lifetime of having her name mispronounced and misspelled.

It really doesnt matter what other people think of the name you are naming YOUR child. If its special to you and the father of the baby, then that is all that matters.

It's not my favorite, but it has meaning, so that makes up for it. Joey for short is way cute!! Congrats on your little girl!!
