I love Ethel Merman, although she's dead now--does that matter to you? Her version of "Annie Get Your Gun" is marvelous. I also loved Robert Preston in "The Music Man." Currently, Bernadette Peters is wonderful, as is Kristen Chenoweth (spelling?). Both have been in a number of shows.

Michael Crawford sings much of Andrew Lloyd Webbers music and he is sensational. Sarah Brightman does some too and she is wonderful.
Patty Lupone is good too.
