Paul Van Dyke has jsut won the DJ Mag 'Top 100' DJ awards again...but anyway back to talking about mixers.

The best two mixers on the market at the moment are the Allen&Heath X:3D or the Pioneer DJM800. Both are quite fantastic to use and offer cotrol of MIDI parameters used by software and music production hardware..They both cost over £1,000 though.

4 Channel mixers are better because they tend to be more flexible in terms of how many connections you can have and how many sources you can run simultaniously. Also being that bit bigger there is more space to to spread controls making them less fiddly to use.
