I just saw a campaign ad for Tim Wahlberg, accusing his opponent of *gasp* gay marriage. The ad goes "so and so Supports Gay Marriage, and is AGAINST traditional marriage". Why would they even say that in a commercial, is anyone dumb enough to believe that supporting gay marriage means that they dont support traditional marriage? This is the first election that I get to vote in, and so far the republicans aren't really gaining my respect...

rltouhe, are you REALLY saying that gay people don't think straight people should get married? What proof do you have of this, seriously? I dont think that just because someone is gay, they dont believe that other people cant get married. And yeah, both parties are stupid when it comes to tv ads, i just chose this example because i just saw it.

Get used to it...all politicians are losers. It isn't so much choosing the best candidate, but choosing the lesser of two evils. I personally vote the party BITTER. Which basically means that I vote out all incumbents.

Unfortunately, most people who support gay marriage and are gay do not support traditional marriage. If the person who did the ad made allegations then they would have to have info to back it or it would be slander.
The republicans are not flinging mud anymore than the democrats are. I respect the ones who run a fair political race without the garbage.

I know he won't see this, but I just want to smack the guy above who said most people in favor of gay marriage and who are gay are against traditional marriage.

What kind of garbage is he putting in his head? How can any kind of critical thinking come to this conclusion? Why do I even bother to rant here?

Election ads and commercials are really bad about telling the truth. I would say that most of them lie, either straight out or by omission. They try to play on your emotions to get you to vote for their candidate and hope you don't investigate what is really happening, or logically think about what they just said.
It's not just republicans, it's all of them.
I'm glad you're gonna vote, make it a habit.

That's why I don't watch TV, expecially during election season. All the politicians are full of poop. If there was a button for it, I'd vote for none of the above.
