I'm sorry for your loss!
"Calling All Angels" by K.D. Lang and Julie Cruise (I think J. Cruise). A great song about the painfulness and confusion of life.

I'm so sorry for your loss, several years ago I lost three friends at once so I know how difficult it can be. There are two songs in particular that still make me think of them...the first is by Sarah McLaughlin "Will You Remember Me?" and the second is by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men called "One Sweet Day." Now be prepared to cry a lot when you first hear them, but eventually they made me think of them and not be quite so sad. Especially "One Sweet Day," because it talks about how one day you will meet them again in heaven and how good it will be to see them again. And it gives you comfort to think that they are looking down on you and giving you a guiding hand. All the best through this difficult time.

I found your post through another post-board about grieving and pets. I cannot imagine the pain you have, but I can only share from my experience(loss of a pet), which I know cannot compare to the loss of a person.
Last tuesday, I had to put my baby Chilli to sleep (4-4-1996 - 10-24-2006), and I haven't wanted to listen to any music, but yesterday I remembered this little musical glass unicorn thing my mom for me a looong time ago. Anyway, it plays "Light of my Life". When I listen to it I start to cry hard, like deep heaving, sobs. But, today, I feel like I am able to cope with the reality of his absence better. So, if you listen to it, it takes one day to feel like the song did any good. Hope what I wrote makes sense, and hope you find peace.
Oh, and another thought that might help you:
Okay, so, God was nice enough to bless you with your Grandma, and with your Best-Friend. But, you have to remember, they were angels, and God really missed them so much he called them back home.

It's going to be hard to find, but look for "The Misery Shows (Act II)" by the hard-rock band Trouble. Seriously.
That song meant a lot to me when my grandmother was dying of cancer back in 1991 - very serious song that gives hope to those left behind. Sample lyric: "I'm so sorry it ended up this way / Soon the sun will shine on me / Please take His hand / The time has come to learn".

Listen to the whole soundtrack from The Crow. That whole CD is pretty much about missing people. Awesome songs from an awesome movie.
