My friend is about 3 mths pregant. Now her and the boyfriend are breaking up. He is always in trouble witht he police. Alway in and out of jail. Do you think that 3 mth is to late?

tell your friend that she doesn't need her boyfriend around to have the baby... i don't agree with abortion in the first place. if she can't handle the responsiblity of having a child on her own, then be a good friend and help her find adoption agencies, not an abortion clinic... do not let her kill her unborn child b/c of a guy, that's just immature and freakin wrong!!! women have children every day without the father around... or even in jail... so what... the baby didn't ask to be brought about, don't let the child pay b/c they're not mature!

I don't think she should do that just because her boyfriend is dumb. Family and friends are more than glad to help that is what they are there for, she should talk to her mom it will be hard but moms know best usually are mad at first but everybody will get used to the idea and some may even have a happier reaction I know I was scared to tell my family and I am 26 it was hard but everybody is extremely happy, and adoption is always an option. but seriously tell her to talk to her mom and go with her when she does what is the worse she can do yell at her. good luck and congrats on the baby hope she does the right thing.

It all depends on where you are, I personally think 3 months is to late to abort a baby as they have everything formed it just needs to mature, It's not the baby's fault. If she didn't want the baby she has had 3 months to do something about it but hasn't, If she is seriously thinking about aborting then she should speak to her GP to get some names of places that can help her, GP's would be the best person to ask as the have the public knowledge of the area and other doctors around there. I hope she thinks about this before making the final decision as it one you can't go back on, maybe some counselling to would help, as its a lot to grieve over.

It will depend on the state and the state laws. Clinics vary on when they will do them. However, at 3 months the fetus looks like a baby and she could go through with the pregnancy and give the baby up for adoption. There are lots of couples out there who want babies and cannot have them. She will need to make sure to make a decision that she can live with.

You don't say where you are living. In Canada, as I understand it, you can have an abortion until the baby is born. In the USA, it is generally 3 months, but there are always abortion docs who are a lot lax on that point.
So let me get this straight... This kids' sperm donor is a screwup, and therefore the kid needs to be killed? Abortion is forever -- your friend will live with this lost child for the rest of her life, just as if she had a miscarriage. Actually, worse than a miscarriage, since she'll have to live with the guilty little secret.
Abortion for birth control is wrong... just wrong.

Maybe you should look at some of the websites with videos showing what they do during an abortion! It's horrible!
Tell her to have the baby, And put him/her up for adoption, There are SO many couples that can't have babies and would love to have one!

Yes..way too late. Why would your friend want to kill the baby just because she broke up with her boyfriend. She obviously doesnt love her baby. How sad. Just tell her to have it and give it up for adoption. There are lots of people that would love a child that cant have one. Abortion shouldnt be used as a convenience to get rid of your child.

She needs to do it today if that is the case. Most clinics dont perform the surgery under 12 weeks. She should consider having it because the baby does have a heartbeat now. She doesn't need some loser to have a healthy baby!!

Abortion is generally legal up to viability -- 24 weeks. It sounds like she's in her first trimester, so it will no doubt be legal in your state.
Is she saying she wants to terminate? Or are you going to suggest it to her because of her relationship issues? This may be an area where you don't want to interfere... (And now I'll shut up because I know nothing of the situation).

She can legally abort at this time but it's not a simple procedure anymore. She should consider adoption as an option and think long and hard before making a decision she might regret later.
