in AFI's "love like winter" what does "por siempre" mean???

it means forever in spanish, but i dont think that is what jade and davey meant for it to mean when they wrote the song. davey says that the girl in the song is supposed to represent hope, but thats all he says. they want you to be able to interpret their songs in your own way. so when u ask what does "por siempre' mean, i say, what do you think it means?
