My reaction is appreciation since they feel comfortable enough to be honest with me about something about them that I did not know before, especially since it is something that some people have problems with.

I don't have a reaction to someone being gay. It's really not that big a deal. That's like finding out someone has blue eyes.

Well, I immediately think "crap, now my parents will get all lectury at me. Can't they see that being gay's not catching, you are or you aren't?" I really don't mind otherwise. I have some good gay friends, and I don't care that they're gay. The only problem I have is a problem I have with heterosexual couples too. I don't like it when anyone makes out in public, but that's because I think you shouldn't share your private stuff with the world, and it's mostly heterosexual couples that do that anyway. But, I don't have a problem. If they're guys, it's a relief, actually, because they're safe to be around and generally don't act as stupid as a heterosexual boy around a girl.

Usually when I find out someone is gay I'm either not surprised or mildly surprised. Either way, it's not a big deal to me what the person's orientation is if it isn't someone I'm involved with.

I think it's good that it makes me not feel like I'm alone, so, that happens every time, don't really know why. I think about how hard it was to come out. That's about it, I say good day.

First reaction is to let him know that I am straight and hopefully if he has any intention, he should forget it...
