I've been thinking of doing this through an online ordination. It would be wonderful to officiate over weddings and I don't want to preach, but I just wondered if people would have a problem with a female preacher officiating. What do you think?

Go for it! The woman Unitarian minister who married my daughter and son-in-law said, "You may kiss the groom" at the appropriate time in the ceremony. That was great, as was the whole event - and my son-in-law, who is perfect for my daughter!

Personally I feel that women can officiate but you need to make sure that God wants you to do this.

The person who married my husband and I was female, and I sought her out specifically because of this. She was WONDERFUL! My Wedding was basically non-denominational, and she did an amazing job!

Its not about what people think.. Its about asking GOD if that is the role he wants you in and doing.

God or not, straight or gay or not.........doesn't matter. I think womyn can do anything. Don't sell yourself short. If you feel called, by what-ever you call your Divine, then just do it! What a fabulous way to spend life.......beginning their happiness!! Best wishes!
