Both of my daughter's had their ears pierced at about 2months old. Merle Norman's in the malls used to do it, but not sure if you have them where you are. I liked it because they had 2 people doing it at the same time. So the baby does have to feel it twice. they would each get on one side of the baby and pierce at the same time so the entire process just took mere seconds.. We do have a Claire's around here as well and they have a good reputation, but I would try to find somewhere that can do both ears at the same instant.

I have been given my ears first pierced while i became 4. Then my aunt took me while i became 7 to get a 2d set. i'm 34 now and that i think of 7 became a sturdy age for the 2d by way of fact i became waiting to look after my ears and jewellery. 4 is slightly youthful to be doing that.

3 months is the perfect age. they are past the new born stage but they will never remember the pain! plus you will love to put tiny studs in for holidays or special occasions. i know many jewelry stores offer the service. ive seen and heard of plenty of people getting them done at clare's. just check out their station and the people that would be doing it. good luck!
my sisters and I all got our ears pierced at around 3 weeks. and our mother is like super safe mom!

If you do it too young, as she gets older, the hole will appear higher on the ear, as the lobe grows "arround it"
The best place to go for an adult would be to a clean tatto parlor that specalizes in peircings, as they are generally the most knowlagable and professional, often times at claires you will be putting your lobes in the hands of a 16 year old clerk.
The question is do you feel comfertable brining your daugter to a parlor? and moreover, can you find one who will pierce her....

Please wait!!!
I got my ears pierced when I was 10. I wore earrings for about a year and it went wonderfully. Then, when I hit puberty, I became horribly allergic to all metal, and now I have scars in my ears that never went away.
I am sorry, but I really think it's your daughter's decision, not yours. It will not cause a memory painful enough for you to have to do it before your daughter's long-term memory develops. If she wants to get them pierced when she is older, let her do it of her own accord.

I don't think I would let Claire's pierce a 3month old's ears. My daughter, now 14, had hers pierced there when she was little. (preschooler)
I think your pediatrician would do it safely for your baby, or perhaps he could make a recommendation.
