force yourself to fall out of love?

I've been talking to this guy (online) who lives on the other side of the country. Every time we talk, I get giddy and shaky and nervous and happy and all that other chemical crap. It's so ridiculous, since I know it doesn't make any sense. I also know he doesn't feel the same about me -- he also talks to this other girl. How can I make myself not feel this way??

There are several chemical neurotransmitters and hormones that get released when we are love. They are designed by nature to take over our emotions and motivate us to mate with the object of our affections. This is why you often look back at things you did when you where under this spell only to ask yourself "How could I be so stupid!?"

Give yourself a few weeks to "calm down." Also...I know someone will say it's not healthy, but the first time he does something you don't like, you remind yourself of that in some way next time you start to feel a bit giddy. He's human, make him seem that way to you, lol. You've got a head start on thinking how he talks to the other girl. Good luck.

All I know is that if someone said for me to fall out of love with my boyfriend it would be absolutly impossible. Are you positive he doesn't feel the same for you? Talk to him first about the situation before you start pushing him out of your mind. And if you know that you have to stop thinking about him, go out with the girls, find a project to get involved with, or maybe go boy scouting for guys more local. Good Luck! Hope it all works out.

Endorphines make you feel that way. Your choices are to decide that he is not for you, and either stop talking to him, or get a grip.
