I'm currently going through the whole application process, and I'm so afraid I won't be accepted anywhere.

First off, the rigor of my classes through out my high school career is pretty good:

9th grade - geography honors, english 9 honors, earth science honors, geometry

10th grade - AP Biology, AP World History, Algebra 2/Trig, english 10 H

11th grade- AP US history, chemistry Honors, english 11 H

12th grade (in progress)- AP Government/Economics H, AP English Lit, Math Analysis,

BUT I really screwed up my sophmore and junior year by totally failing algebra 2/trig and chemistry honors. Not only that, but I got a couple of other Ds that has really brought down my gpa. (my a-g weighted gpa is 2.38 and my regular h.s gpa is 2.78)

I didn't do that great on the SATs : 400 math, 540 critical reading, 590 writing. (1530) but im maintaining grades no lower than a C now.

I'd really like to know my chances at a CSU/ UC or if there is anyway to compensate for my gpa.

your SAT is ok. But GPA no for UC. Maybe CSU. Are from Long beach if not there is CSULB. what about extra curricular activities? sport? after school activities? community service and volunteer? work experience? all of those play a big part. If you some good if not then do some this year. Good luck at applying at UC and CSU.
